Ministry said rumour came from a social media post dated March 23, when the Covid-19 crisis began to escalate
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has denied the rumours attributed to it regarding the closure of shopping malls and centres in the country.
Clarifying the rumour, the ministry said the explained that the social media post that was shared recently dates back to March 23 this year, soon after the emergence of Covid-19 crisis.
The ministry in a circular made it clear that all information issued by it are published through its official accounts and advised the community members to ignore the rumour and obtain the correct information from official government sources only.
